Import Services

Bring your products to the United States.

Practical import support, from the first questions to an agreed plan.

We help producers and businesses explore how to bring wine and selected other products into the U.S. Drawing on our experience importing Croatian wines, we offer guidance, project coordination, and importing support for projects we accept.

Our wine wholesale distribution serves Ohio. U.S. import services are a separate arrangement. We are not a licensed customs broker; customs brokerage is handled by a licensed provider.

How we can help

The right level of support.

01

Guidance & coordination

Understand the questions to resolve before you ship: product requirements, documentation, intended destination, and who needs to be involved. Coordinate agreed steps with producers, freight providers, licensed customs brokers, and other specialists as needed.

02

Importing support

For projects we accept, discuss an arrangement for VS to serve as your U.S. importing partner. A written agreement defines scope, fees, and each party's responsibilities, including who acts as importer of record. Any such role for VS must be expressly agreed before work begins.

Who this is for

A producer abroad. A buyer here. A product with a plan.

Overseas producers

You have a wine or product and want to explore a U.S. importing arrangement, whether you already have a buyer or are still assessing the market.

U.S. businesses

You have identified a product overseas and need help understanding or coordinating the steps to bring it into the country.

Wine first. Other products by assessment.

Wine is our established experience. We consider other product categories individually, based on their requirements and whether we can provide the right support.

A straightforward start

Tell us what you want to bring here.

  1. Share the basics

Tell us what the product is, where it comes from, the intended U.S. destination, and your approximate quantity and timing. Early-stage inquiries are welcome.

  2. Assess the fit

We review the project and discuss the support required, open questions, and whether VS is the right importing partner.

  3. Agree on the next steps

If there is a fit, we document the responsibilities, scope, and fees in a written agreement before proceeding.

Before we begin

A few useful distinctions.

Can you help with products other than wine?

Yes, we welcome inquiries about other products. We assess each category, origin, destination, and project individually before confirming what support we can offer.

Will you sell or distribute my product?

Importing support and distribution are separate arrangements. Our current wine wholesale business serves licensed accounts in Ohio. An import-services inquiry does not add a product to our portfolio or include a promise to find buyers.

Do you provide customs brokerage?

VS is not a licensed customs broker and does not offer customs-entry filing services for clients. Our role is importing support and project coordination; customs brokerage is handled by a licensed customs broker. We agree who is responsible for each part of the project before work begins.

Can you confirm a cost or shipment date now?

We first need to understand the product and shipment. Costs, timing, and the scope of our involvement are discussed for your project; requirements and approvals can vary.

What should I send with my first inquiry?

A short description is enough to start. Include the product, country of origin, expected quantity, destination, timeline, and the help you need. If you do not know a detail yet, tell us that. Please keep confidential documents and payment information out of the initial form.

Let's talk about your import project.

Start with the product and your goals. We'll help identify the next conversation.
