Meet the Family
Melissa Kolar and Jennifer Babic (Kolar), born in that order just 10 months apart, are the VS (Vinska Sestre) in VS Croatian Imports LLC. In translation, The Wine Sisters. Along with Jennifer’s husband Andrew Babic, a passion for wine, beer, and a drive for entrepreneurship, VS Croation Imports LLC was born in 2023.
Andrew and Jennifer Babic have been married for over 20 years and have 3 children. Both run their own IT Consulting, Real-estate, and Interior Design businesses. In 2022 the family received their dual citizenship with Croatia, bringing the family full circle to when their families immigrated from Croatia and Slovenia many years ago. The family works together to continue accomplishing their life goals.
Melissa Kolar has been in the wine, beer, and hospitality industry for 25+ years. She started her career as General Manager for a large estate grown winery in Northeast Ohio’s Grand River Valley Wine Region. After 15 years at the winery, Melissa managed other restaurants and a brewery personally dealing with distributors and importers.
This trio has the knowledge, experience and determination to be your go to importer and distributor for fine Croation wine and beer. We will work with you to find the perfect pairing for your establishment that will please your customers at a price you and them can afford.
